Infinite Commitment

Infinite commitment describes systems that create ongoing obligations without clear endpoints. Subscriptions, processes, or accounts are easy to start, but difficult to exit cleanly.

This structure exploits human inertia. Inaction sustains the system. The effort of leaving outweighs the perceived cost of staying.

Fair UX makes ending as clear as starting. Anything else is retention through exhaustion.
